Agatha and Barbara face a fight to retain their crowd in women’s elimination
Both Brazilian women’s teams containing world champions will need to be at their best if they’re to retain their crowns following the elimination draw made earlier today.

Meanwhile Barbara Seixas and Fernanda Berti Alves face a just as tricky task to make the last 16. The Brazilians take on Canadians Melissa Humana-Paredes and Sarah Pavan – one of the most consistent teams on the World Tour in the last few months.

Anouk Vergé-Dépré and Joana Heidrich also made it through the pool play and their prize is a tie against Kazahstan’s Tatyana Mashkova and Bakhtgul Samalikova.
Two of the two favorites for the title, Brazil’s Larissa Maestrini and Talita Antunes and Laura Ludwig and Kira Walkenhorst of Germany have both been handed ties against lucky losers.
Larissa/Talita take on fellow South Americans Ana Gallay and Maria Zonta of Argentina, while Laura and Kira will play China’s Fan Wang and Yuan Yue.
